The 80/20 Rule to Keep Your Child’s Sleep Schedule on Track
The 80/20 Rule is what?
According to the 80/20 Rule, you should adhere to your regular, healthy sleeping routine 80% of the time. Then, you can deviate from your timetable 20% of the time.
The 80/20 Rule enables you to “live life” and take pleasure in those priceless moments with your loved ones. If your family is celebrating a birthday, a holiday, going on vacation, or has a doctor’s appointment during nap time, these are times you can use this rule. 80% of the time, you stick to the well-established healthy sleep schedule and then 20% of the time, you have the option to take naps on the go, skip naps, go off track on the timing of sleep, or have a later bedtime.
Following are some pointers for applying the 80/20 Rule:
- Start with a child who has had enough sleep.
- Boost your sleep capacity! A rested child will be more equipped to adapt to change.
- Return to your original course as soon as you can
- Although they might resist a little, your youngster will persist. You are aware that your youngster is competent.
- If at all feasible, set an early bedtime following a fun-filled day to ensure that any lost sleep is promptly made up for.
- With your family, take advantage of the 20% flexible time. Make memories, unwind, and remember that the good sleeping habits you have already developed will make your special family time more enjoyable.
